Wisdom. Wit. Kindness. Beer!
Between two time World Beer Cup® Gold Medal winner "Song in Your Heart" English Mild, 2016 Best of Craft Beer Gold Medal winning German-style "Shimmer" Pilsner, or kettle-soured "Tart You Glad?" Brown ale which tastes like chocolate and raspberries (my favorite), Discretion has eclectic and delicious offerings of all kinds of beer styles.
Not to mention they have awesome can art as well as outstanding barrel-aged beers to go in bottles. Barrel-aged Good Faith is just about the smoothest BBA Strong I've ever had. Reminds me of Red Rover by Bottle Logic in its buttery-creamy finish.
Fun fact: Zephyr, the woman who designs their can art, also draws up their chalkboards. A+ chalk art.
Can't have a taproom without some wood.
Me enjoying a "Trip Trap Trip Trap" German-style Bock.
My taster of the BBA Good Faith, graciously offered by Assistant Brewer Kyle MacLean.
Patrick Bourque: Beertender, Delivery Driver, and soon to be Salesman for Discretion Brewing. Also overall happy guy.
Kyle MacLean content and enjoying a beer after a week of hard work in Production.
Patrick and Taproom Manager Rose discussing logistics.
One of the many hard-working faces behind the delicious food at Discretion's "The Kitchen".
Pork Belly Sliders paired with a 10oz pour of "Tart You Glad?"
The succulent pork belly and sweet raspberry/chocolate flavors of the beer complemented each other perfectly.
Kyle giving us a tour of the brewery.
Temp controls attached to their mash-tun and 10 Bbl brewhouse. "We divert 100% of our spent grain to local farms where very lucky pigs feast on the goodness left over after a brew day, sparing the landfill over 225,000 pounds of grain a year." - Discretion Brewing
Where the beer is left to ferment. Only organic ingredients are used!
Discretion is expanding! They took over the old Crossfit building right next door.
My friend Ashley stoked on the sweet scent of rustic barrels housing awesome Discretion brews.
New fermentation tanks on their side, waiting to be used in the new space (and looking a whole lot like rocket-ships).
